Loop Dryers

Our loop dryers are designed for applications where delicate textile webs require minimum tension during drying. They are exceptionally suited for heavy-pile products, such as carpets, terry cloth, and upholstery fabrics, which need comparably long drying times.

Slasher Dryers

Lanly’s slasher dryers are the preferred choice for applications where delicate filaments require minimum tension during the drying process. Precise programmable process control allows a single system to handle a wide range of products efficiently. Even heavy, high-denier-count yarns can be processed efficiently without additional steam cans.

Common design features for slasher dryers include:

Proven performance exceeding 240 yards per minute (ypm) on typical polyester yarns
Aluminized steel interior and exterior surfaces for corrosion resistance
High-volume / low-velocity design significantly reduces yarn twisting and stretching while increasing abrasion resistance
Non-contact drying system improves size uniformity, increasing weaving efficiency and decreasing stops
Pressurized plenum system supplies heated air from above and below sheds. The uniform airflow ensures consistent drying and high-speed processing of yarns
Optional closed-loop humidity control for increased uniformity and energy efficiency throughout summer and winter

Singeing Systems

Lanly’s high-speed singeing systems are designed for the high-speed production of delicate glass fabrics. Precise process control allows a single system to handle a wide range of products efficiently. Singeing systems are explicitly developed for singeing electrical fiberglass and can accommodate a wide variety of yarn diameters.

Common design features for singers include:

High burner capacity for production speeds up to 120 ypm
Large-diameter 12” rolls with extended width burner faces for increased dwell time, more effective singeing, and reduced risk of creasing
Four burners provide double singeing for heavy fabrics and two-burner operation for lightweight fabrics
Adjustable burners allow optimum positioning of flame contact angle and distance from fabric for efficient multi-style operation
Adjustable selvage protection on each end of the burners limit flame to fabric width
Automatic burner and line speed control ensures correct flame intensity for uniform singeing
Heat deflector shields protect fabric from heat migration when lower burners are operating
Large-diameter fabric backup rolls allow extended tangential flame dwell time on fabric surface to melt back broken filaments while protecting the fabric from wrinkles caused by flame shock
All rolls, including idler rolls, are water-cooled, protecting fabric strength
Dryer and sizing machine control systems communicate bi-directionally to control dryer parameters for various styles and operating conditions automatically
Variable speed drive on fabric backup rolls is interfaced with adjacent equipment drives for accurate line speed control
Direct spark ignition and infrared flame detection for reliable and safe operation
